The rules for using tregonomi.com.

What tregonomi.com is

A noticeboard where people in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia offer things for sale and buyers get in touch. It is not a shop and not an escrow service. tregonomi.com never handles the money, never holds the goods, and is not a party to anything you agree with another user. What you agree, you agree with them.

Your account

One account per person. Use a real email address you control — you need it to confirm the account and to sign in, because a code is sent to it every time. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. If you think somebody else has it, change it and use “sign out everywhere” in your account, under Security.

What you may post

Things you actually have and are allowed to sell. That means:

  • The item exists, you own it, and it is legal to sell where you are.
  • The description matches the item, including its faults.
  • The price is the price, not a lure to start a conversation about a different number.
  • One listing per item. Posting the same thing repeatedly to stay at the top of search is not allowed.

What you may not post

Some of this is refused automatically and the rest is removed when found. Either way it can cost you the account:

  • Weapons and ammunition.
  • Drugs.
  • Forged documents — passports, identity cards, diplomas.
  • Human organs, or anything else that cannot lawfully be sold.
  • Stolen goods, or counterfeits sold as genuine.
  • Requests to pay before meeting, transfers through a money-wiring service, or links to an outside payment page. This is the fraud pattern in this market, and it is the one thing that gets a listing withheld before anyone has seen it.

Moderation

Listings are screened automatically. Almost everything that trips a rule is published anyway and flagged for a person to look at — an honest seller waiting hours for a human is a worse outcome than most of what screening catches. Prohibited goods are the exception and are withheld until reviewed. We can remove a listing or disable an account. A listing removed by a moderator cannot be published again, including from a new account. The code of conduct lists the specific rules a removal or a ban points to.

Reporting illegal content

Anyone can tell us about content they believe is illegal, with or without an account. If you are signed in, use Report on the listing. If you are not, write to raporto@tregonomi.com with the address of the listing, what is wrong with it, why you believe it is illegal, and a way to reach you. A moderator reads every notice, and both the person who sent it and the seller are told the decision and the reason for it. A notice sent in bad faith is itself a breach of these terms.

Ratings

You can rate a seller only after messaging them about the listing in question, which is the only evidence this site holds that the two of you actually dealt with each other. A rating can be changed but not deleted by the person who left it: someone who taps the wrong star can fix it, and nobody can withdraw an honest bad review under pressure. Ratings are shown without the name of whoever left them. Removing a listing does not remove its ratings — otherwise a bad deal would simply be deleted.

Messages

Write to people about their listings, not to advertise at them. There are limits on how many new conversations one account can start in a day, and they exist because contacting fifty strangers in an afternoon is what a scam campaign looks like. Message contents are encrypted at rest. That is not a promise that nobody at tregonomi.com could ever read a message while investigating abuse; it is a promise that a stolen database would not hand them over.

Meeting and paying

This part is not boilerplate. Most of what goes wrong on a marketplace like this goes wrong here:

  • Meet somewhere public, in daylight, and take somebody with you for anything valuable.
  • See the item before you pay for it. Every time.
  • Nobody legitimate needs a deposit before you have met.
  • If a deal only works by sending money to a stranger first, it is not a deal.

What we are and are not responsible for

tregonomi.com is provided as it is. We do not check that a seller is honest, that an item is as described, or that anybody turns up. We are not responsible for what users agree between themselves, and we do not guarantee the site is available without interruption. We are responsible for running the service described here and for handling your data as set out in the privacy notice — and nothing in these terms limits a right the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in your account, under Security, and it is immediate and permanent. We can disable an account that breaks these rules. If we do, the listings go with it.

Illegal activity and the authorities

Using tregonomi.com for fraud, to sell stolen or prohibited goods, or to threaten anyone gets reported. We keep a security log of registrations, logins, listings and messages with their network addresses for 90 days, as the privacy notice explains. We give it to the police, a prosecutor or a court on a lawful request, and we report on our own initiative information that suggests a crime threatening someone's life or safety.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Albania. If we change them in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
